Dirty Little Secret

God wants you to enjoy a white hot, intimate and adventurous sex life with your spouse.  The idea that God only endorses sex for procreation is ridiculous and anti-biblical.  Beginning June 20th and 21st we will deal with sex as God intended and the damage that can be caused when we pursue pleasure outside of his intentions.  According to recent statistics only 44% of married couples are “satisfied” sexually.  That means 6 out of 10 couples in a given room are not enjoying the pleasures God has made available to them.  This has led to massive sexual, emotional and relational sin. It is common knowledge that sexual sin has ravaged the suburban family as much as anything in our culture.  I know you don’t need proof of this but I’ll give it to you anyway. One study reveals almost 80% of marriages will deal with some sort of adultery in their lifetime.  Which means every couple on the planet should be actively repenting of or preventing sexual sin from destroying your marriage. If you move from physical adultery to mental and emotional adultery the numbers “sky rocket.”  According to a survey conducted by XXX Church over 70% of Christians admit to struggling with pornography in their daily lives.

The lack of a satisfactory and joyful sex life in marriage is one of the worst kept secrets in the world.  Marital sex has become the butt of a cultural joke that claims freedom, vibrancy and frequency decline as familiarity increases.  That is not true.
