What to Expect

Visiting a new church is a scary thing.   There we said it.  You have to be wondering things like, “What are people going to expect from me?” and “Am I going to be embarrassed?”

Take a deep breath and let us tell you what to expect when you walk through the doors of Providence.

Finding Us

Building Front

First, our building is easy to find at 5625 Preston Rd, right in the heart of Frisco.  We promise we have plenty of parking (our building used to be a car dealership).  More on the Location and Services page.

Greeting and Food

Bagel and Coffee

Once you walk in the door, you will be greeted by someone with a smile on their face.  They will hand you a piece of paper that lets you know what’s happening this week at Providence and can guide you to where to go next.  So far so good?

So you rushed out the door and forgot to eat breakfast?  No problem.  Grab a free cup of coffee and donut/bagel/pastry from the cafe bar.  Be careful though – someone might say hi to you here.

Kids

Kid Jump

Did you bring some pre-adults with you?  Awesome!  We work hard to have the safest, most fun play area for your kids. From the giant castle they can play on before and after service, to the fun songs and crafts the kids will work on, we promise no kid goes home bored.  More on the Children and Preschool page.

Worship

Worship Small

Enter the sanctuary and find a comfortable chair.  Our worship leader will lead us in focusing on Jesus through song.  We’ll put the words up on the screen in case you’ve never heard them, but after a few visits you’ll be an old pro. More on the Worship page.

Preaching

The pastor will then open the Bible and teach from it.  We tend to walk through books of the Bible from beginning to end.  We do this because we don’t want to ignore the hard parts or pick favorite verses. We want to learn from the whole Bible.

Response

Response Card

We believe that in every part of life Jesus intiatates and we respond, so at the end of the service you will have a chance to respond.  It’s not the kind of response where we single you out, but the kind where someone is available to pray for you if you need it.  The last thing we want is someone going home feeling like no one cares about their needs.

So that’s about it.  We’d love to have you come join us this Sunday!  Questions?  We’re just a phone call or email away.  More on the Contact Us page.
